APF and BFD Security On Server Can't Post

Hi.

We have installed APF and BFD security on server.
Accordingly, if anyone of you are having any problem accessing any service please feel free to post the details on forum or Private Message Me, quoting the nature and specifics of the problem.

We had detected many cases of trying to gain illegal root access to server and hence we initiated this.

Cheers

Re: [Administrator] APF and BFD Security On Server [In reply to] Can't Post

Hello

Please note that any expermimentation or forced access to server would automatically get that IP blacklisted from getting access to any resource/site on server from that IP address. Please do not experiment with getting access through means which are not available on your account.

We have found people trying to get FTP access when their account has a FileManager to access the subdomain hosting space. They try all combinations and in a short duration which the system detectes and classifies as a Brute Force Attack and automatically bans that IP address for all subsequent access. You would feel that the server is down, but the matter of the fact is that the server is up and running but not allowing any access from the banned IP adress.

Any repeated attempts of gaining access to server through facilities not configured on yopur account would be a violation of the TOS and offers us all liberty to block that account in the interest of other users who are there on the server. We would not want our services to be down because of a Hacked Server. Cooperation in this regard is necessary and implied as per TOS/EULA

Cheers
