The last major upgrade was done on 30th of October 2003, introducing many new revolutionary features and this had been major version upgrade in last one year.
This version had intorduced the option of users setting the number of characters to be displayed in the From/To/Subject columns. The Search Results page was not obeying the rules set by the user as the search result template was carried over from earlier version. This has now been updated. This was not really a bug, but an issue of old template being carried over to new version.
All users who had signed up for accounts before 30th October could set this in Options>Display menu. For users who have signed up after 30th October 2003 midnight, this comes preset by default.
